JAMMU, June 16: Additional SP Kathua Yogesh Sharma today delivered a lecture on traffic awareness programme, which was attended by a large number of prominent citizens, Beopar Mandal, Transport Union and Matador Union representatives.
Mr Sharma briefed the gathering about rules to be followed during driving. He said discipline on roads could help avert several tragedies.
All police officers and speakers in the function stressed upon the transport community that the safety of the passengers lied in the hands of drivers and they should be careful while driving the passenger vehicles.
The drinking and driving shouldn’t be mixed, Mr Sharma said and called upon the drivers to follow traffic rules and laws and don’t use mobile telephone while driving.
