JAMMU, June 30: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) held a commemorative meeting at ASKPC Bhawan, Durga Nagar, Jammu, to mark the death anniversary of Karamyogi Pt AN Vaishnavi, former president of the organization and a prominent figure in the welfare of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community.
The meeting, presided over by ASKPC president R K Wangnoo, began with a tribute offered to the departed soul. Members recalled Vaishnavi’s tireless efforts, sincerity, and selfless dedication during a critical phase in the community’s history.
In recognition of his enduring contributions, the members unanimously passed a resolution recommending Pt A N Vaishnavi for the Padma Shri Award. They also pledged to carry forward his ideology and principles.
Prominent attendees included Sanjay Bakshi, R K Koul, Ravi Ji Raina, Veena Gurtoo, Ashok Dhar, Daizy Bhat, Bihari Lal Pandita and others.
