JAMMU, Nov 26: J&K BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul distributed Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards to eligible beneficiaries aimed at improving healthcare access for senior citizens, at village Khour in Chamb constituency today.
BJP Health and Medical Cell convenor, Jammu & Kashmir Puneet Mahajan, district Prabhari Vinay Gupta, district president, Kuldeep Raj Sharma, former MLA Rajiv Sharma accompanied Ashok Koul, extending strong support to the awareness and distribution drive. The team interacted with beneficiaries, explained the benefits of the scheme, and addressed queries related to its implementation and usage.
Speaking at the event, Ashok Koul reiterated the commitment of the BJP toward ensuring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for senior citizens, especially those residing in rural and remote regions. He stated that initiatives like Ayushman Vay Vandana play a vital role in reducing the financial burden of medical treatment on elderly individuals who often face health challenges. He further emphasized the importance of doorstep delivery of welfare schemes, ensuring transparency and timely benefits for all eligible citizens.
Puneet Mahajan highlighted the continuous efforts of the BJP Health and Medical Cell in spreading awareness about various health-related Government schemes. He stressed that the Cell is actively working to bridge the gap between beneficiaries and available healthcare services, ensuring that no eligible person is left out due to lack of information or procedural difficulties.
Vinay Gupta said that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen welfare delivery mechanisms across Jammu & Kashmir.
Kuldeep Raj Sharma appreciated the leadership for prioritizing welfare programmes in rural belts and expressed confidence that such initiatives will bring significant improvement in the health infrastructure and support system for the elderly population.
Rajiv Sharma said that the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card provides senior citizens with enhanced medical coverage, enabling them to access essential health services, treatments, and hospitalization facilities with financial security.
