Ashok Kapur Foundation celebrates Veterans’ Day

JAMMU, Nov 11: Ashok Kapur Foundation (AKF) organized a beautiful and touching ceremony at the St Paul’s Church in Jammu to celebrate Veterans’ Day.
On the occasion, Rohini Kapur, Atul and Priya Kapur, Dr Ajay Kapur, Ajatshatru, Ritu Singh, Adishree Singh, Ranvijay Singh, Shiv Kapur and Savar Kapur, all members of the Ashok Kapur family donated generously towards serving the underprivileged from the Christian community.
Sensitively keeping in view the oncoming severe winters, blankets and heaters were distributed in large numbers, along with scholarships for professional training for deserving students which will commence in 2 weeks from now.
Besides, members of Ashok Kapur family, Johnny & Esther William, Varuna Anand (members of the Church), teachers from the Christian community from DPS Jammu and Alexander Memorial School gave their services on the occasion. The Church resounded with heavenly energy of prayers and hyms as a warm start to the oncoming winter season.
The Ashok Kapur Foundation was registered in August 2017 with the purpose of carrying forward the dreams of a visionary Late Ashok Kapur, a man greatly accomplished, a topper of Engineering at IIT Kharkhpur, a leading corporate with Hindustan Lever, Shaw Wallace, Indian Cropicals. He was avid golfer and a connoisseur of music who promoted many artists across genres.
His philanthropic work left an indelible mark on his family and this foundation promotes welfare, community services and social work amongst the weaker sections of society pan India. His selfless compassion towards the caddy community in Chandigarh for whom he worked relentlessly, inspired the first edition of the working of the foundation.
