JAMMU, Oct 17: ASCOMS and PG Arts won their respective matches in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Football (M) Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education (DSPE), University of Jammu.
The first match was played between ASCOMS and GGM Science College, Jammu, in which ASCOMS team defeated GGM Science College by (2-1). For ASCOMS, 1st goal was scored by Shahid Shabir in 5th minute while 2nd goal was added by Varun Gupta in 20th minute. The only goal for GGM Science College was scored by Purjit in 40th minute.
In 2nd match, PG Arts thrashed SPMR College of Commerce by 5-4 in Tie Breaker. The match played in full time finished with equalizer (1-1). For PG Arts, Niteshwar, Shubham, Raza and Dharampal scored one goal each while Rohit, Surjeet and Ankit scored one goal each for Commerce College.
The matches were officiated by Dr Brij Baloria, Gagan Kumar, Rickey Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar, Taranpal Singh. The matches were conducted by Gagan Kumar, Football Coach, University of Jammu.
The tournament is being conducted under the direct supervision of Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, DSPE, University of Jammu (JU).
