JAMMU, July 22: In a major achievement, ASCOMS and Hospital, Sidhra, has successfully performed its first anterior skull base repair surgery in the ENT Department.
The surgery was conducted on a patient suffering from CSF Rhinorrhea.
The procedure was carried out by a team of doctors led by Dr Padam Singh Jamwal, Professor and Head of ENT, along with Dr Chandpreet Kour, Dr Mohit Goel, and Dr Iaichika Sethi, supported by senior residents Dr Priyanka Mahajan, Dr Pallavi Saroch, and Dr Tanisha Arora.
The Department of Anaesthesia, headed by Dr Shikha Sharma, along with Dr Pallavi and Dr Nisha, also played a key role in the successful operation.
This complex procedure requires high precision, advanced surgical expertise, and excellent teamwork.
The surgery was also demonstrated to postgraduate students to enhance their surgical skills and training.
Director Principal of ASCOMS, Dr Pavan Malhotra, hailed the successful surgery as a landmark achievement for the hospital.
He praised the ENT team for their dedication and commitment to providing advanced medical care.
