JAMMU, June 1: Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar here today celebrated its 47th Foundation Day by organizing a grand religious programme marked with devotion and spiritual fervour.
The event commenced with Yagya followed by devotional songs and enlightening Vedic sermons.
Prior to the Yagya, Pandit Ranvijay Shastri explained the spiritual and environmental significance of Yagya.
Ashok Koul, general secretary (organisation) BJP J&K, addressed the gathering and threw light on the foundation of Arya Samaj in 1875 by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati.
Rekha Mahajan, senior BJP leader, also graced the occasion and extended her greetings to the Arya Samaj family. She praised organization’s 47-year-long journey of promoting Sanatan values, unity and spiritual awakening.
After Yagya, flag hoisting ceremony was performed by senior members of the Arya Samaj, including Ravinder Rekhi, president; Bharat Bhushan Arya, vice president; Subash Arya, secretary; Suneel Mahajan, Ajay Gupta, and others.
Acharya Shri Hari Shankar Agnihotri Ji, the main speaker and Yajna Brahma also enlightened the gathering.
