JAMMU, Apr 17: Arya Samaj Dayanand Marg City Chowk Jammu today organized a Shardhanjali Samaroh at Vir Ram Chander Samarak Batehra near Akhnoor today.
All intellectuals from various Arya Samajs paid rich tributes to Vir Ram Chander Ji. Students from Arya Girls High School Kachhi Chawni and Batehra participated and presented songs, delivered speeches and participated in debate on the life of Vir Ram Chander who laid down his life for the education of down trodden and under privileged people of Batehra.
A free eye camp was also organized with the active assistance of learned doctors from Acharaya Shree Chander College Sidhra. The eye specialists diagnosed 300 persons and distributed medicines among the ailing people. They advised eye operations free of costs to 30 persons with the active assistance of Arya Samaj city Chowk Jammu. The programme was hosted by Balwan Singh general secretary and Ashok Chaturvedi Manager. The vote of thanks was proposed by Arun Gupta president. A havan was performed by Mukesh Shastri Ji on the occasion.
