SRINAGAR, Oct 15: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, met BCCI president, Mithun Manhas in Srinagar and extended heartfelt congratulations on his prestigious new role. Arvind Gupta praised Mithun Manhas for bringing glory to J&K through his illustrious cricketing career and now representing the region in national sports administration. He expressed confidence that under Manhas’s leadership, Indian cricket, especially budding players from J&K, would get greater exposure and opportunities.
During the interaction, Gupta emphasized the need for better sports infrastructure, professional coaching and grassroots talent identification in far-flung areas. He highlighted the Central Government’s focus on promoting sports among youth.
Mithun Manhas appreciated Gupta’s proactive approach and assured BCCI’s full support in promoting sports across J&K. Both agreed to collaborate on new initiatives to empower emerging athletes.
