JAMMU, Mar 11: Continuing his efforts to strengthen civic infrastructure in his constituency, Jammu West MLA, Arvind Gupta kick started the blacktopping work in Ward No. 32, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the local residents. The development work, being undertaken at a cost of Rs 45 lakh, aims to improve road infrastructure and ensure better connectivity for the area.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta said the road had remained neglected for years and residents had been demanding proper blacktopping for a long time. He expressed satisfaction that the issue has finally been resolved and the area will now have a smooth and durable road network.
“This is the first time that blacktopping work is being carried out in this area, which will greatly benefit the residents and commuters. Development of basic infrastructure remains our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring that every locality in Jammu West receives the facilities it deserves,” Gupta said.
He further stated that the Government is continuously working to upgrade roads, drainage systems and other essential amenities so that people can enjoy better living conditions. He assured residents that more developmental works will be taken up in the coming months to address pending civic issues in different wards of the constituency.
Senior leader Ayodhya Gupta, members of the Mandal team, Sarpanches, local residents and officers of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) were also present on the occasion. The local residents expressed gratitude to Arvind Gupta for initiating the blacktopping work, stating that the improved road will significantly ease daily commuting and enhance the overall infrastructure of the locality. The residents hoped that similar development initiatives would continue in the future to further strengthen public facilities in Jammu West.
