JAMMU, Sept 24: MLA Jammu East Constituency, Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the construction work of lanes and drains at lane No 10, Kabir Colony, Ward No. 40, with a total project cost of Rs 40 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said, “The residents of Kabir Colony have been demanding proper lane and drain work for a long time. The construction of these drains will ensure that rainwater no longer enters homes during the monsoon, providing much-needed relief to the local population. Quality and timely execution of these projects is our top priority and we are committed to ensuring that public welfare remains at the forefront of every development initiative.”
Gupta also inspected the ongoing sewerage work in Ward No. 40 to ensure that the project is progressing efficiently.
He stressed the importance of residents actively monitoring departmental works and said, “It is not enough for the MLA and administration to oversee these projects alone. Citizens must also keep a check on the execution to ensure transparency, quality and timely completion of public works.”
The MLA reiterated his commitment to addressing long-standing civic issues and providing sustainable solutions that benefit the community.
