JAMMU, Aug 18: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leaders and MLAs, Arvind Gupta from Jammu West Assembly Constituency and Surinder Bhagat from Marh Constituency, held a public grievances camp here today.
A large number of people and deputations representing various sections and from various areas participated in the camp and presented their concerns before the leaders.
They highlighted multiple issues including delays in local development works, irregular drinking water supply, inadequate sanitation facilities, poor condition of lanes and drains and frequent power outages.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta assured the people that every genuine grievance raised will be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority.
He said, “the BJP stands committed to ensuring that the voice of the common people is heard and addressed. The Modi Government has already laid a strong foundation of development in Jammu & Kashmir through projects like AIIMS Jammu, IIT and IIM campuses, ring road projects, hydro power projects and massive road and rail connectivity upgrades. It is our responsibility as elected representatives to further speed up this pace of development and provide relief at the grassroots level.”
Surinder Bhagat said, “the BJP’s mission is to serve every citizen without any discrimination. The people have reposed their trust in the BJP and it is their commitment to resolve issues such as sanitation, drainage, power supply and water distribution on a war footing.”
“Our sole aim is to deliver good governance, transparency and development while staying connected with the people at the grassroots,” he added.
