JAMMU, June 5: BJP leaders Arvind Gupta, Secretary BJP J&K and MLA Jammu West, along with MLA Suchetgarh Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat, today held a public darbar at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar to hear and resolve public grievances.
As per a statement, the event saw participation from several deputations representing various localities of Jammu and nearby areas.
It said the citizens raised concerns related to water shortages, poor road conditions, non-functional street lights, ration card discrepancies, and the need for repairs to lanes and drains.
People also flagged issues concerning services from departments like Revenue, PHE, PDD and PWD, the statement said.
“The BJP leaders took prompt note of the complaints and assured quick follow-up. In many cases, written instructions were forwarded to concerned departments for early action,” the statement said.
Arvind Gupta said the BJP is committed to transparent, grassroots-level governance as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He noted that the people’s overwhelming trust in BJP reflects the party’s focus on accountability and public service.
Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat said the public darbar initiative will be held regularly to enhance communication between the public and administration.
He reiterated the party’s Antyodaya mission-ensuring the last person benefits from development schemes.
