JAMMU, May 6: Emphasizing the need for constant vigilance in the current security landscape, Arun Gupta, spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, underlined that peace in the region must not be taken for granted.
He was addressing a press conference here, today along with senior party leaders, Sanjay Kumar Baru and Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra.
Gupta cautioned against any complacency, stating that guard should not be lowered if there is decrease in terror incidents. He highlighted that daily precision monitoring by concerned agencies is crucial to prevent any uncalled-for disasters.
Citing the issue of unauthorized vehicle parking at locations such as Maharaja Hari Singh Park and Bahu Plaza in Jammu, Gupta said these areas pose serious security concerns. In today’s environment, even the smallest oversight can be exploited by elements with nefarious intentions, he added.
