VIJAYPUR, Mar 10: Senior Congress leader Arun Sharma today exhorted the party workers to gear up for clean sweep in the forthcoming Panchayat and Local Body elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing monthly meeting of the party workers at Vijaypur, the Congress leader said that BJP had got exposed before the people who were fully understanding that the saffron party exploited their sentiments on the issues like Article 370, State subject right to refugees, delimitation, etc. “People have come to know that BJP leaders can only stage protests and they have no maturity as well as commitment to run a stable Government for welfare of masses,” he added
Arun Sharma claimed that only Congress can run the State smoothly with equal development in all three regions Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He exhorted the party workers to leave no stone unturned for success of Congress candidates in the forthcoming Panchayat and Local Body elections in the State.
During the meeting, workers also raised several local issues like delay in supply of CAPD ration, pending cases of issuance of PRC, connecting pipes with newly constructed tube well at village Nagrota, construction and repair of roads etc.
Arun Sharma assured that he would take up all these issues with the concerned authorities for the redressal.
