JAMMU, Feb 6: A wreath laying ceremony was today held at Jadunath Memorial to commemorate Naushera Day, celebrated at Naushera sector every year to remember the victory of 1947-48 Indo-Pak war and to pay tributes to Martyr Naik Jadunath Singh, PVC who attained supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
A cultural event highlighting the victory of Indian Army in Naushera sector through a light and sound show, group dance by students were also organized and a large number of dignitaries from Army and civil attended the functions.
A Multi-Specialty Medical Camp and Artificial Limb Donation Camp was also organized wherein 30 Wheel Chair, 6 Crutches, 10 Hearing Aids and 10 Blind Sticks were donated to beneficiaries including from the Naushera.
Doctors from Army and Civil attended the patients along with the supporting staff. The Multi-Specialty Camp was augmented by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Narayana Superspecialty Hospital Katra by providing state of the art mobile screening buses for Mammography, ECG, Lab investigation and on the spot X-Ray facilities.
