Army organizes veterans’ rally at Sunderbani

JAMMU, June 8: In its yet another attempt to increase communication with veterans of the region, Army’s Crossed Swords Division under Kalidhar Brigade organised a veterans rally at Kalidhar Auditorium in Sunderbani.
The rally was inaugurated by General Officer Commanding, Crossed Swords Division, who reiterated the commitment of the formation towards supporting welfare schemes and measures for improvement and upliftment of the veterans and Veer Naris of the region.
The rally was attended by 876 veterans, who included six retired officers and 14 Veer Naris of the region.
The rally was aimed at addressing relevant issues pertaining to health services of the veterans and acquainting them with various schemes and plans for enhancing their quality of life even after retirement.
During the rally, the veterans and Veer Naris were informed about welfare and financial schemes like pension related information, functioning of Crossed Swords veterans’ helpline, Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Post Retirement Schemes and service opportunities after retirement available for them.
