SAMBA, Sept 26: Army organized a medical camp at Samba Garrison today. The medical camp was inaugurated by Maj. General Sameer Kaila, GOC Gurj Division. Maj General Sameer Kaila , interacted with the veterans and took the suggestions on various Ex-Servicemen schemes.
In this medical camp services of super specialists were made available by Medanta Group and Fortis Escorts Group of Hospital, who were supported by Army. Army organised administrative arrangements. Around 1000 ESM and their families attended to get opinion from the specialists from the fields of Orthopedics and Cardiologists from the Fortis and Physicians, Eye, Pain Management and Gynecologists from Medanta Group. The facilities of Blood Test, Bone Density Test, blood pressure and pain management were made available.
In this medical camp Red Cross put a stall on first aid. Doctors who examined the veterans and patients were Dr. Momika Goyal, Dr. Suruchi Mahajan , Dr. Arvind Sharma , Dr. Jasbir Kour, Dr. Ranjit Singh and Dr. Priyanka Sharma .
The camp was immensely appreciated by the veterans community. It has further strengthened the bond between serving and the veterans. GOC Gurj Division and the veterans complimented Samba Brigade for organising the medical camp.
