Army organizes medical camp

JAMMU, May 31: As part of this initiative, the Indian Army’s Sabre Brigade under Rising Star Corps, in close coordination with the District Administration of Samba and Jammu, organized a Medical, Dental and Veterinary Camp at Ratnuchak, today.
The camp was inaugurated by Brigadier Vikram Kumar, Commander, Sabre Brigade. Wide publicity was given before the camp so that maximum peoples could get the benefits of the camp. The camp was coordinated by Colonel Manish Gulia of the Sabre Brigade.
A team of 9 doctors including Dentists and Gynecologist provided the people of region a one point medical solution to their health requirements. A total of 306 men, 269 women and 295 children were attended to by the doctors. 295 animals were also treated by the Veterinary doctor.
The camp provided quality medical diagnosis and treatment to the poor and needy sections of the society.
Army took special care to cater for transportation of the Gujjar and Bakarwal families from distant corners of Jammu City and provided refreshment to the visitors.
Besides this, the people were also briefed about Sukanya Samridhi Yojna, National Campaign for the care of girl child and how to join the Indian Army for a glorious career.
The people of the area thanked the Indian Army for organizing the medical camp at their doorstep and requested for similar camps in future too.
