RAJOURI, Sept 27: With the aim of connecting with Veer Naris and Veterans, an interaction programme was organised by the Army at Thanamandi today.
The initiative was aimed at addressing grievances, providing healthcare support, resolving pension-related issues, and ensuring the overall well-being of Veer Naris, Ex-servicemen, and their families. The core objective of the event was to honour their service and sacrifices while ensuring timely resolution of their concerns During the interaction, the invitees were informed about various initiatives undertaken by the Army for the welfare of Veer Naris and Ex-servicemen in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
Awareness was also spread about Government policies, Digital Life Certificate updation, ChatbotSambandh, ECHS/CSD card renewal and activation, pre-recruitment rallies, Samadhan Grievances Portal, and other upcoming welfare measures. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, representatives of the Indian Army, healthcare professionals, social workers, and members of the local community.
Deputy GOC, Brig Vikram Chandel (Romeo Force), felicitated Veer Naris and Ex-servicemen. Brig BS Sandhu, Commander 13 Sector RR, Col Rohit Bharat, Commanding Officer 61 RR, Col Abhishek Patnayak and SDM Thanamandi, Abid Hussain Shah also graced the occasion.
A Grievance Cell was established on the spot to address queries, record concerns, and coordinate with concerned agencies/offices for timely redressal. This initiative ensured that attendees received optimum support and satisfaction.
