JAMMU, May 31: Janipur Police booked Army jawan for raping a woman on the pretext of marrying her.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Janipur duly endorsed by City Court Jammu against Army jawan identified as Rampal, a resident of District Reasi. In the complaint, the lady alleged that the jawan made physical relations with her on the pretext of marring her but later refused.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 71/2021 under Sections 376 and 420 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
