SRINAGAR, Aug 25: The army today dedicated a community development and coaching centre to the people of south Kashmir’s Tral area of Pulwama district, a defence spokesman said here.
The Community Development and Coaching Centre was innaugrated by 15 Chinar Coprs Commander, Lt General Subrata Saha.
“Tral area has got large talent pool of youth who are well educated but are unable to find employment due to lack of soft skills or lack of practical/hands-on training. The Community Development and Coaching Centre will run various courses like Fashion Designing Course & Jute Bag Making Course for women/girls under women empowerment and Mobile Repair Course and Computer Course for the unemployed youth of Tral,” the defence spokesman said.
He said the coaching Centre has also been established for the coaching of 10th and 12th Class students from financially poor background and those who excel in studies to facilitate better performance in their board examination and also to prepare them for various competitive examinations like CET, IIT, NDA etc.
The General Officer thanked people and civil administration for their overwhelming support and co-operation extended to the army in its endeavor to establish the CDC for the youths of Tral. He also distributed Sewing Machines to all 30 candidates of Fashion Designing Course.
The Chinar Corps Commander interacted with the school children present for the event and encouraged them to drive maximum benefit out of the CDC and the Educomp Coaching Classes in particular.
