SRINAGAR, May 15: An Educational and Motivational tour “Chirag-E-Aman” for the children of insurgency affected areas in the far flung border areas of Uri Sector to Amritsar, Chandigarh and Dehradun was conducted by Kala Pahar Brigade, under the aegis of Dadder Division.
The first of its kind tour in this year will provide the children a brief exposure to the development, quality of life and historical places of interest in other parts of the country.
During the tour, the children will visit Golden Temple, Jallian Wala Bagh Wagah Border in Amritsar. These students will be taken to Chandigarh and Dehradun to interact with various dignitaries and other parts of the city.
The tour was flagged in by General Officer-in-Command Dagger Division under Sadbhavna-a project undertaken by the Indian Army for the welfare of the locals of insurgency affected areas by the efforts of 15 Corps.
