POONCH, Feb 5: In furtherance of the ongoing ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, and to provide a healthy and hygienic environment for the girls students, Durga Battalion under Poonch Brigade constructed a toilet block at Government Girls Middle School (GGMS), Ajote.
The initiative has been the turning point as far as the sanitary facilities in the school are concerned. More than 200 girl students are enrolled in the school. Locals said that the construction of toilet block has provided a more secure and hygienic environment for the girls in the school.
This initiative by the Indian Army has further strengthened mutual relation with the locals of Poonch District. On this occasion, the Principal of the school along with local Sarpanch was present.
