REASI, May 21: The Indian Army organized a T-20 Cricket Tournament at Zorawar Singh Memorial Stadium, here with an aim to bring in communal harmony and to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the students of Reasi District.
The event assisted the Army’s efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and provide a platform to help youth showcase their hidden talent.
Eight teams from various schools of remote areas of Reasi District participated in the tournament on league cum knock-out basis. Team from Government Higher Secondary School, Reasi was eventually adjudged the champion team with Government Higher Secondary School, Barakh placed at second spot after a keenly contested match.
Cricket being one of the most popular sport amongst youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the event witnessed an overwhelming response both in participation and presentation.
