JAMMU, May 21: Jammu & Kashmir Speedball team won overall National Level Championship trophy 2017 at 9th National Speedball Championship in Himachal Pradesh.
About 300 players drawn from 11 States of the Country participated in the event.
52-members team from J&K participated in the event under the supervision of Sunny Nanda and won overall trophy, while Delhi got the second place and Gujarat claimed third spot.
The team won 12 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronze medals.
For this achievement, Patron of Association, Mandeep Bandhari, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu presented a token of appreciation to Mr Nanda in presence of Pooja Mahlotra, Er SP Langer, VK Sharma, Er.Viond Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Mohd Irshad and Nitish Mahajan.
The chief guest also congratulated the team and the support staff including Manpreet Kour, Sahil Janjua and Aditya Singh, apart from Sunny Nanda.
Those who clinched gold medal in their respective categories included Ajay Singh, Aryaman Sharma, Aditya Pawar, Keshav Sharma, Suksham Sharma, Shivam Tikku, Manthan Pandoh, Sunil Singh, Smohit Sharma,Yuvraj Singh, Raghav Bral and Harsh Vivek Singh, while the Silver medals were bagged by Paramjeet Singh, Kavish Tickoo, Kartik Digra ,Bhumika Gupta, Pranay Gupta, Manish Singh, Rydham Slathia, Jatin Vadhan,Danish Kamal Gupta, Jayesh Bhoskar, Adeesh Gupta,Tasleema Jaan and the bronze medals went to Pratha Gupta, Brossam Gupta, Rushika Chalotra, Amreen Iqbal, Prashant Gupta, Aryan Sharma, Sahaj Kumar, Gurvansh Choudhary, Oshin Singh Malhotra, Ujjwal Verma, Shivani Bakshi, Amer Khusal, Kanav Mahajan , Vashishth Badyal, Jagpreet Singh, Athrava Khajuria, Akshi Verma, Priyanshu Yadav, Kamesh Malhotra, Adhishwer Groach, Nakul Gupta and Neyam Narania.
