Srinagar, Jan 30: Army conducted a motivational tour for school children at Karu under the aegis of 3 Ladakh scouts.
An Army spokesman said a total of 30 children of various age groups from Council Model School, Shakti visited 3 Ladakh Scouts on Monday. “The aim of the tour was to familiarise the children with the Army way of life and to motivate them to join the forces at various levels, he said
He added that the event included a weapon and equipment display, a presentation on ‘Know Your Army’ followed by interaction with Officers, JCOs and NCOs of the unit over tea.
“The children seemed to be quite excited about the visit to an Army unit and their queries regarding various options to join the Army were addressed during the course of the visit. The teachers accompanying the children appreciated the way the visit was conducted and further desired that more number of visits of such nature must be conducted in future for the benefit of the children,” he added.
