SRINAGAR, Apr 16: Continuing with its drug de-addiction campaign for the youth of the Valley, a lecture was conducted by the Army at Koragbal village
An Army spokesman said the lecture was conducted to generate awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction on physical, mental and economical well being of an individual.
He said the Army Doctor started the lecture with an introduction to drugs and its types, addiction and symptoms. Thereafter, he covered the harmful and terminal effects of drug abuse and finally, how drug addiction is ruining the youth of our country and leading them into a dark and inimical world was touched upon.
“The role of family and friends in helping the victim in his fight against drug addiction was also highlighted. The lecture concluded with an interactive session with the students,” he said.
