Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the conference yesterday.
Top Army Commanders meet twice a year, mainly in April and October to formulate strategy on the issues faced by them in different sectors.
While situation on LAC with China in Eastern Ladakh is nearly normal, tensions have once again flared up on LoC with Pakistan especially in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch where the troops from across the border have been trying to facilitate infiltration by the terrorists.
However, all such intrusion bids have been successfully foiled by the Indian Army. Ceasefire between Indo-Pak troops has been in force on the LoC as well as International Border since February 2021.
In Eastern Ladakh, situation has been near normal with both sides sticking to the agreement reached last year on de-escalation.
Sources said aligned to Indian Army’s goal of an Agile, Adaptive, Technologically enabled and Future Ready Force, the top hierarchy of the Army held intense deliberations with experts to usher in new methodologies for effective decision making.
Other issues which were taken up for detailed deliberations include enhancing the overall organizational health and easing the processes of the Field Army to make them more resilient and responsive.
The Army Commanders conference also discussed issues concerning the welfare and well-being of its personnel aimed at enhancing the quality of life for soldiers and their families.
In his address to the conference yesterday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed full confidence in the troops and complemented the Armed Forces for standing firm and vigil and the same should continue.
