Army bids farewell to braveheart with full military honours

JAMMU, Nov 21: A wreath laying ceremony was organised in honour of the brave martyr, Head Constable Rai Singh of BSF, who laid down his life guarding the Nation’s frontiers while serving at the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri Sector (J&K).
The ceremonial military send off was held at Rajouri today morning. General Officer Commanding, Ace of Spades Division laid a wreath on behalf of Lt Gen AK Sharma, General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps and all ranks. The mortal remains of martyred soldier were later sent to the native village for performing the last rites.
The soldier hailed from Kheri Sapala, Rohtak District, Haryana. He is survived by his wife, Smt Sunita Devi, three sons and his mother. General Officer Commanding, Ace of Spades Division upon laying the wreath, eulogised Head Constable Rai Singh and said that he was a dedicated, brave, sincere soldier and a thorough professional.
