JAMMU, Apr 14: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri has demanded the appointment of Chairman and other members of 8th Pay Commission, constitution of which was approved by the Union Cabinet recently.
Addressing a meeting of NMC workers here today Shastri said: “Since the due date for implementation of 8th Pay Commission is January 1, 2026, it is hoped that the Commission will complete its report within given time.
The NMC leader also demanded restoration of Old Pension Scheme, release of 18 months’ pending DA arrears and regularization of daily wagers who have completed seven years of service.
Demand of hike in monthly emoluments to Rs 18,000 and enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 1000 per month was also raised on this occasion.
Rajan Babu, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Raj Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Anil Gupta, Vinod Kumar, Daljit Singh, Rajnish Kapoor, Chaman Lal, Birbal and others were also present in the meeting.
