Apni Party’s concern over decline of Skill Development Centers

JAMMU, Aug 21: Apni Party Youth Wing has demanded skill development programmes and Government self-employment schemes be launched at large scale as the Skill Development Centers have witnessed a considerable decline following COVID-19 pandemic.
The demand was made by a delegation of Youth Wing which called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Raghav Langer and projected various demands concerning youth.
The delegation was led by State general secretary, Abhay Bakaya and IT comprised of provincial coordinator, Youth Wing, Vipul Bali, provincial secretaries, Suhail Khajuria, Vishal Jyotishi and provincial Social Media secretary, Gohar Wani.
Abhay Bakaya, demanded that the Government should restore these centers so that the youth are provided opportunities of skill development.
He demanded that awareness camps should be organised at rural as well as urban areas regarding Government schemes for better understanding of the schemes so that maximum people can get the benefit.
The delegation also demanded restoration of self-help groups so that the qualified engineers can contribute towards the development of Jammu and Kashmir and encouragement of native thread makers in view of festivals of Rakhi and Janmashtami as the Chinese threads are unsafe.
It highlighted increasing drug abuse cases and demanded that they should be curbed to save the future generation from the menace. The deputation said that awareness camps for the general public should be organised at different areas for their awareness against COVID-19 in view of careless attitude adopted by the people. The delegation also discussed the ongoing Smart City Project.
The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu assured that he will address the genuine demands and many of these have been taken care under mission youth.
