Apni Party urges LG to settle issues of migrants

JAMMU, May 30: State coordinators of Displaced Kashmiri Pandits of Apni Party for Jammu and Kashmir provinces Vinod Pandita and Sanjay Dhar respectively highlighted the important issues of Kashmir Pandits living in exile for over last 30 years and appealed Lt. Governor J&K to pay heed to their woes and worries by resolving them on priority basis.
In a joint statement issued here, today  Vinod Pandita and Sanjay Dhar said that posts already earmarked under  Prime Minister’s  rehabilitation package in 2008  have not been filled completely so far which is a matter of serious concern  and the unemployment in the community is on rise and with the result  the  educated  displaced youth  are  in deep  frustration and mental agony.
They appealed Lt. Governor to direct the concerned authorities to fill the remaining posts of PM package immediately as well create an additional 10,000 new posts for the educated displaced youth to remove unemployment  so that they can eke out their living as well serve the people with dedication and hard work.
They said that keeping in view the price hike of daily essential commodities, it has become quite difficult for relief holders to make their both ends meet on such a meager monthly assistance of Rs. 13000 that needs to be increased to Rs. 25000 per month immediately keeping in view their domestic constraints as well on going COVID -19 Pandemic which has made their life more miserable and pathetic.
