JAMMU, May 20: A delegation of Apni Party from district Jammu, led by district president Jammu Urban, Abhay Bakaya, today called on Chief Transport Officer (CTO) Jammu Municipality, Dharamveer Singh, to discuss pressing civic issues related to incomplete nallahs, culverts, and desilting in the district.
During the meeting, Abhay Bakaya and his team comprising Joginder Singh, Vaibhav Mattoo, Neelam Gupta, Vijay Gurtoo, Sheekha Dogra, Vishal Jyotishi, G L Pandita, Devansh Sharma highlighted the problems faced by residents due to the pending drainage and culvert works, particularly with the approaching monsoon season. The delegation expressed concern that the incomplete works could lead to water logging and other hardships for the public if not addressed promptly.
The Apni Party team urged Dharamveer Singh to issue necessary instructions to the concerned departments to expedite the completion of all pending works before the monsoon, ensuring that the people of Jammu do not suffer due to avoidable civic issues.
Responding to the delegation, CTO Jammu, Dharamveer Singh assured that the matter would be taken up on priority, and all possible steps would be taken to address the issues raised.
