BHOPAL, Mar 29 : A doctor working at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhopal, attempted suicide on Sunday along with his family in which his wife and daughter died and the doctor is battling for life in hospital.
Police said that Gopi was working as a doctor in AIIMS in Bhopal. He checked into a lodge on Saturday evening along with his wife and daughter.
The hotel staff on Sunday morning found them in an unconscious state and informed the police. The police found doctor’s wife Shankar Kumari (30) and daughter Mounika (3) dead.
Doctor Gopi was admitted to the hospital where his condition is said to be very critical. The police said that the doctor administered intoxicated injections to his wife, daughter and himself. The reason for the doctor couple taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, the police said.
