MENDHAR, Nov 13: Under the supervision of SDM Mendhar, the Tehsil Administration launched an anti-encroachment drive to clear public spaces, including footpaths, drains, lanes, and the main road near the bus stand.
The action followed after receiving complaints about blocked walkways and narrowed lanes causing traffic congestion and water-logging. Unauthorized structures and street vendors encroaching into public areas were removed.
Tehsildar Mendhar Rahul Basotra said the bus stand and main road were given priority as they are vital for local transport and trade. The administration stressed that public spaces belong to the community and must remain obstruction-free.
