JAMMU, Aug 29: Ahead of mini-buses diversion, an anti encroachment drive was carried out from Rehari to Jaggi Darbar, here today.
A joint team of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Revenue, Traffic and District Police undertook anti-encroachment drive from Rehari to Jaggi Darbar to remove road encroachments and wrong parking so that there is free flow of vehicular movement.
From August 31 onwards, diversion will be given to mini-buses and PVSs viz mini buses of Muthi, Bantalab, Kot Bhalwal and Aghore routes from Rehari Chungi to Jaggi Darbar via Sarwal Hospital-Patoli Morh for to and fro movement and to ensure free flow of traffic movement, the anti-encroachment drive was carried out, police sources said.
Various illegal structures were dismantled and shopkeepers were directed to keep their goods in the limits of their shops, sources said, adding that warning was also issued to the shopkeepers for illegally encroaching the road and creating hindrance in the free flow of the traffic movement.
