JAMMU, Mar 26: In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Jammu has apprehended a smuggler, identified as Pintu Parshad, son of Varinder Parshad, a resident of Soni Vihar, Delhi.
The arrest was made in connection with FIR Number 07/2024 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, registered at ANTF Jammu. The case pertains to the recovery of a commercial quantity of intoxicating capsules from the possession of Vishal Sharma, son of Yashpal Sharma, a resident of Old Janipur near the railway line in Narwal, Jammu.
Acting on leads, a raid was conducted in Delhi by a special team from ANTF Jammu, led by Inspector Sanjeet Sharma and Inspector Nayat Ali, under the supervision of DSP ANTF Jammu, Tanveer Ahmad. The operation was carried out under the overall supervision of SSP ANTF J&K, Raj Kumar.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
