JAMMU, Apr 21: Ansal University Gurgaon, a private university with strong international collaborations dedicated to providing advanced trans-disciplinary education, has announced admissions for the academic year 2014-15.
Besides introducing BA programs in Fine Arts, Planning, Law and MA programs in Architecture, Design and Law, the University has also announced specialized PG Management Programs with a focus on experiential learning in Real Estate, business Analytics and Healthcare Management from the forthcoming academic session.
This was informed by the Ansal University Vice-Chancellor Dr C S Nagpal while interacting with media persons, here today.
“At Ansal University, our aim is to develop employable professionals with experiential learning according to the on-job requirements,” he said while highlighting the employment focused courses and teaching methods in the university aimed at achieving excellence.
Dr Nagpal also informed that keeping with Industry demand for well rounded professionals, the University has also started providing six month professional training and two specializations per stream to its Engineering students. “We have also introduced Value Added Certification, triple certification and dual certificates in Computer Applications, Management Studies and Arts & Architecture for the students of Engineering and Technology,” he added.
While pointing out that due to inadequate number of higher education institutions in J&K, only 3000 students could be accommodated in the State despite the fact that more than 20,000 appear for various competitive exams for professional courses, Dr Nagpal claimed that the Ansal University with its global tie ups and industry oriented courses offers a viable option to the young talent in Jammu and Kashmir.
The university also offers liberal merit based scholarship amounting to nearly Rs 3 crores across various courses for deserving students, he added.
“The programs for Art & Architecture students like BFA, B Plan, M Arch are designed to inspire them experiment, create and refine their ideas and encourage a process of guided self-learning while the bachelors and Masters Program for Law students at Ansal University are developed to integrate important aspects of corporate, international trade and intellectual property rights and emphasizing on international, trans-national and comparative approach to research in the aforementioned fields of law,” Dr Nagpal explained. Similarly, he added, for the Designing students, the curriculum is planned and progressed keeping in mind the trainees’ individual potentials and the abilities so as to earn maximum benefit from the facilities provided.
