UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: Udhampur Police today detained a notorious drug peddler under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act.
The detention warrant under PIT NDPS Act against Sanjay Kumar alias Sanju Bawa, son of Narinder Kumar, resident of Hartaryan Tehsil and District Udhampur, A/P Kallar, Udhampur, was executed today in accordance with the order issued by the competent authority.
Sanjay Kumar was actively involved in the illegal drug trade and was found to be a significant supplier of narcotic substances in the region. His actions were endangering public health and contributing to the widespread drug abuse problem, particularly among the youth.
