UDHAMPUR, Oct 23: Udhampur Police today detained another drug peddler under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act.
The accused, namely Mohd Tariq alias Kaka, son of Shah Mohd, resident of Chak, Udhampur, is a known offender involved in multiple NDPS cases within the district.
The detention order was issued by the competent authority and executed today by the Police team of PS Udhampur. The accused has been formally lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu.
This marks the 14th detention under the PIT NDPS Act in the current year by Udhampur Police
