JAMMU, Nov 28: A number of activities were held on the 5th day of the ongoing Annual Sports Week at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, here.
In the Poetry Competition, 18 students from various departments participated.
The competition was judged by Er Sakshi Kapai, Er Ajay Thapa and Er Neena Gupta.
The first prize was won by Akib Rashid from Electrical Department, while Muddasar Feroz of Computer Engineering Department was adjudged 2nd and 3rd prize went to Bisma Wani from Mechanical Engg. department.
In cricket, Automobile Engineering Department and Computer Engineering Department entered the finals.
In Volleyball, Mechanical Engineering Department and Architecture Engineering Department made it to the finals.
In table tennis, Asad Sharma from Electrical Engg Department and Vansh Mahajan from Mechanical Engg Department qualified for the finals.
In Badminton, Mohit Sharma of Electrical Engg Department and Vishal Verma from Civil Engg Department will lock horns in the finals, while in Carrom, Kartik and Akash of Automobile Engg and Ishan Raina and Zahid Ali of Computer Engg. Department made it to the finals.
In Chess, Rajat Sharma of Electrical Department defeated Guneet Singh from Civil Engg Deptt in the 1st semifinal, while Inderdeep from Automobile Department defeated Ankush from Mechanical Engg Department in the second semifinal.
