Ankita, Abhishek, Rajesh emerge winner in quiz competition

JAMMU, Oct 6: Directorate of Urban Local Bodies organized a quiz competition at at Government Higher Secondary school Katra.
On the occasion, Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Tribal Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation Ajay Nanda was the chief guest.
Minister appealed to the students to boycott the use of polythene and other non biodegradable things besides contributing their bit to generate awareness regarding the same among others also.
Director Urban Local Bodies Jammu Soujanya Sharma said that good habits inculcated at young age have deep impression on the mind of children.
In the quiz, four teams representing four houses—Chenab, Ravi, Jhelum and Indus participated in which team of Jhelum House comprising of Ankita Sudan, Abhishek Sharma and Rajesh Kumar won the first prize. Team A of Chenab House represented by Rithwik Jha, Tulsi Sharma and Rimpi Sharma won the second prize and Team B of Ravi House comprising of Vishal Bhardwaj, Jatin Kalotra and Ajit Singh won the third prize. Team D of Indus House represented by Simran Attri, Mitali Padha and Ram Singh got the consolation prize.
Among others, Dr Ashok Sharma SDPO, Sanjeev Gandotra Chief Executive Officer Municipal Committee Katra and staff members of Government Higher Secondary School were also present on the occasion.
