REASI, Dec 5: Irate over the non-availability of officers in the department, the employees of Animal Husbandry Department, district Reasi, today announced to go on ‘Kaam Choro Hartal’ tomorrow.
In a press release issued here, the employees said that the post of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Reasi is lying vacant since October 31, 2017 after the retirement of Dr Shakti Kumar, who was also holding additional charge of the post of Live Stock Development officer, Dharmari, which is vacant since April 2013.
They said that after the retirement of Dr Shakti Kumar, the post is lying vacant due to which salary of employees for the month of November and routine office works like GP Fund cases, gratuity cases of employees, who got retirement on superannuation recently, are lying in the offices.
“Moreover there exists 21 posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons out of which only 4 are in position while other posts are lying vacant”, they said and demanded the Government to fill all the vacant posts along with two posts of officers in the department.
