Anila Charak named among 131 renowned Satirists

JAMMU, Aug 21: J&K’s Satirist Anila Charak’s name has found a place in the book containing names of 131 renowned Satirists of the country.
A handout stated that this book has been edited by renowned Satirists Lalitya Lalit and Rajesh while Pralap Prakshan has decided to publish the book for which the credit goes to Ramesh Patro.
This book also contains names of Satirists from abroad and it will be released on October 2 this year at Delhi wherein 131 selected Satirists will join the function.
Anila is lone representative from J&K—a Union Territory having satire almost nil.
Recently Anila has been conferred Harishankar Parsai honour in Bhutan. Apart from this she was honoured by different literary and educational institutions of the country.
Anila has also special expertise in the field of poetry and she had got best book award for her poetry book ‘Nange Paon Zindgi’ in 2008 by Academy of Art Culture and Languages.
She has also her two satirical books ready for publication.
