SRINAGAR, Sept 5: Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi greeted all the people on Eid-e-Milad and wished a blessed life for everybody.
In her message Dr Andrabi said that this day is the boon for humanity and ” I wish that the teachings of the great Prophet (SAW) illuminates our lives always.”
She paid obeisance at Dargah Hazratbal today and led the new Carpet laying ceremony at the recently opened Santum area after inauguration of the new interior development project. Later, Darakhshan visited Jinab Sahib Soura and paid obeisance there. She took stock of the ongoing construction works at the shrine.
Dr Darakhshan was accompanied by Engineering team of the Waqf Board including Qazi Mushtaq Ahmad, Syed Ghula-e-Murtaza and others who briefed Waqf Board Chairperson about the status of the work. She issued instructions to enhance shifts of working to complete these projects before estimated time.
Later, Andrabi spoke to the media persons and said that Waqf Board is working without a break amidst the obstacles created by many who don’t want our Dargahs and Ziyarats to shine and upgrade.
“Our development projects are going on throughout J&K without any compromise on quality and transparency. Our stern measures are yielding very positive results now. All positive thinking people are appreciating Dargah reconstruction & beautification. We are overwhelmed by the public response “, Andrabi said.
She further said that the approach of positivity and strict decision making has now created a better work environment in Waqf Board. “Those who are sticked in the mud are still criticising our development projects, but we are getting due response from the public and we are following our resolution to continue our developmental mission at all costs”, Darakhshan asserted.
