JAMMU, June 23: Awami National Conference (ANC) provincial president S Gian Singh today expressed disappointment over preparedness by Jammu Municipal Corporation to face the monsoon.
In a statement Singh said two days intermittent rain has exposed the function of JMC with large of Jammu city water logging problems. He added that huge traffic jams were witnessed due to water logging in low lying areas of Jammu city.
He said due to choked nallahs and drains, the water entered many localities and caused extensive damage to public property including electronic gadgets.
He also made a dig at Irrigation and Flood Control Department for the plight of Ranbir canal, which he alleged, has become a big dumping ground and almost clogged by Polythene and other solid waste dumped by the people.
