KARGIL, Feb 8: AN-32 Kargil Courier Service has started its operations from today for this winter season.

On this occasion Indian Air Force crew was welcomed by Executive Councillors, LAHDC, Kargil, Agha Syed Mujtaba and Kacho Mohd Feroz on behalf of LAHDC Kargil as well as by Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse and Deputy Superintendent of Police HQ, Nitin Yadav.
The Executive Councillors as well as Deputy Commissioner appreciated the support provided by Indian Air Force for the Kargil Courier Service during winter seasons which is very helpful for the needy passengers especially old age as well as those availing medical treatment in Jammu and Srinagar and also the student community.
At Srinagar, the AN-32 aircraft crew was received by Chief Coordinator, Kargil Courier Service, Aamir Ali along with officers from Airport Authority, CISF, Station Manager AIASL, Liaison Officer and Assistant Liaison Officer.
On first day, 12 civilian passengers travelled from Srinagar to Kargil and 12 from Kargil to Srinagar.
Later on, the DC along with Dy.SP HQ inspected all the arrangements at Kargil Airport like security, frisking, ticket checking counters, luggage scanning, boarding and other arrangements and instructed all the concerned officials to ensure smooth management of Kargil Courier Service.
