JAMMU, Jan 31: Santosh Sharma, mother of IAS officer Amit Sharma, passed away at the age of 87 after a brief spell of illness.
She had been unwell for the past few days and was a long-time survivor who had been battling liver and heart-related ailments for several years.
Expressing grief over her demise, Amit Sharma described his mother as a constant source of inspiration throughout his life.
He said she laid a strong foundation for his success by instilling in him the importance of education, moral values, and a disciplined social life from an early age.
Condolences poured in from various sections of society, with people expressing deep sorrow over the loss and extending their sympathies to the bereaved family.
