New Delhi/Jammu, Dec 6: Amit Sharma Director Census Operations (DCO) & Director Citizen Registration (DCR), Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs for the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, shared his expertise in IT domain in the prestigious Twentieth Annual Information Security Summit organised by NASSCOM-DSCI in the national capital region wherein experts from lot of national and international organisations participated over last three days.
Amit Sharma had been invited as a keynote speaker and subject-specialist to lead a high-powered panel discussion around the theme of “Large Scale Digitization of Public Services : state of Security & Privacy for assessing preparedness, institutional capabilities and developmental policies”.
While expressing his opinion about the current state of policies which are in-place, Amit Sharma mentioned that in future, AI-driven and block-chain based robust models have to be put in-place, as information secrecy and secured systems are the foundation towards implementing IT-reforms, like they are visible in his current assignment wherein they shall be conducting first-ever Paperless Digital Census in whole nation, which shall be backed by innovation and technology.
The organisers led by Atul Kumar, Director DSCI, honoured Amit Sharma during the National Summit while expressing deep gratitude towards him for sharing important Info Security related perspectives which shall go a long way in shaping-up national policy on creating a robust IT ecosystem in the nation.
Apart from this, Amit Sharma was also invited in J&K IMPARD in the middle of this week to interact and enlighten a fresh batch of JKAS Probationers who are undergoing training there.
During his address, Amit talked about implementing technology and bringing about systemic changes for the welfare of citizens of the Union Territory while mentioning about several e-Governance reforms which took place during his stint as IT Secretary and CEO, J&K e-Governance Agency in the past.
Apart from this, Amit Sharma also shared some contemporary examples of implementing e-Governance reforms which were brought in state of Mizoram during his stint as ICT Secretary including implementation of e-Office, Digilocker, BHASHINI and earlier in UT of Ladakh wherein SWAN, e-Office and similar IT initiatives saw the light of the day during his assignment as IT Secretary there.
